Online Casino Japan: the complete 2026 guide
Looking for the best online casino in Japan? We opened every casino on this page from a Japanese IP address, read the bonus terms and the payment pages, and checked which sites also work in English. Our 2026 pick is Vera&John: a long-running, well-known brand with a full English site, yen payments and 50 free spins when you sign up through our link. If you want the lowest wagering, Konibet gives a $20 no-deposit bonus at only 5x; if you play with crypto, Stake and Bitcasino are the fastest options.
More and more online casinos accept players from Japan, so it pays to choose carefully. However generous the bonus looks, check these three things first:
1. A licence from a recognised regulator, with the operator name and licence number shown on the site
2. Proper protection of your personal and payment data
3. A good choice of payment methods with a proven payout record
The casinos Japanese players use are licensed by regulators abroad — mostly Curaçao and Anjouan, sometimes Malta or Georgia. A casino that breaks its licence conditions can be suspended or lose the licence, so the first step to playing safely is picking a site whose operator name and licence number you can check on its own pages.
Not every site that targets Japan plays fair: some exist only to take deposits and never pay out. You will not find those here. Every casino on this page shows an operator and licence we could match, none lists Japan as a restricted country in its terms, and all of them work in Japanese — most also in English.
From no-deposit bonuses and deposit match offers to slots, live casino, payments in yen and crypto, short reviews of every casino in the ranking and the brands that have left Japan — everything you need to choose is on this page.

Top 10 Online Casinos in Japan – The Best Picks for 2026
This top 10 is built only from casinos we actually opened from Japan and checked. We give the most weight to how easy it is to withdraw and to the licence — not to the size of the bonus. Our scoring method is published on our editorial policy page (in Japanese).
New to online casinos in Japan? Start with the casinos below. Each one combines a licence we could verify with bonuses worth having, and we ranked them after reviewing the offers, the payment options and how easy they are to use for players in Japan. The ranking is the same one we publish in Japanese on our Japanese ranking page (data checked September 26 – October 5, 2026), so English and Japanese readers see the same order.
- Vera&John – the best-known casino in Japan and the easiest first pick, with a full English site
- Konibet – losses back (up to 65%) with zero wagering, Japanese support around the clock
- CasiTabi (Kajitabi) – an RPG adventure casino unlike any other
- Stake – crypto-first, with rakeback unlocked from day one by referral code
- Mystino – a ¥2,000 no-deposit bonus in yen, so amounts are easy to follow
- Yuugado – deposit, play and withdraw in yen with no currency conversion
- InterCasino – online since 1996, with the same welcome bonus as Vera&John
- Bons Casino – a big game library and a sportsbook in the same account
- Bitcasino – bet in crypto and get paid in minutes
- Casino Secret – $15 with no deposit through our link (20x, 30 days, up to $150 cash-out before your first deposit) and instant cashback

Operators and licence numbers as shown in each site's footer or terms, read from a Japanese IP (September 19 – October 3, 2026). Offers through our links as of October 2, 2026. "English site?" = whether the casino interface can be switched to English, checked October 5, 2026.
Two practical notes before you scroll. First, four of the ten — Vera&John, Yuugado, InterCasino and Casino Secret — are run by the same company under the same licence, so the cashier, KYC process and support feel identical; if you know one, you know all of them. Second, most of the top ten can be used in English, but several open in Japanese when you visit from a Japanese IP: use the /en address (Vera&John, InterCasino, Yuugado, Mystino, Casino Secret) or the language menu (Konibet, Bons, Bitcasino). Promotional banners often stay in Japanese even in English mode. CasiTabi is the exception — it is Japanese-only. It stays in the ranking because it is one of the best casinos for Japan, but if you do not read Japanese, start with a brand marked "Yes".
Still looking for a safe first casino? Try one from the top of this list, or compare all of them on our full ranking page (in Japanese).

How to Start: From Sign-Up to Your First Withdrawal
Getting from registration to your first withdrawal takes five steps. The two places where most players get stuck are identity verification and withdrawing with the same method you deposited with — sort those out early and your first payout will be smooth. Times in the table are taken from each casino's official pages (checked October 3, 2026).
| Step | What to do | Typical time (official) | Tip |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Choose a casino | Check the operator, licence number and support languages | — | Not sure? Start from the top of our ranking |
| 2. Sign up | Email, password, name, date of birth | A few minutes | Some casinos add a no-deposit bonus when you join through our link |
| 3. Verify your identity (KYC) | Photo ID + selfie, and proof of address if asked | Depends on the document review | Do it before your first withdrawal |
| 4. Deposit | Card, e-wallet, bank transfer or crypto | Instant to 60 minutes (bank transfer 5–60 minutes) | Set a budget and deposit only that |
| 5. Withdraw | Request a payout with the same method you deposited with | About 2 hours of review (Konibet) to 3–5 business days (Vera&John) | Check the wagering and the "wager your deposit 2x" rule first |
Step 1: Choose by operator and licence
The footer of every official casino site shows the operating company and the licence number. Vera&John and Casino Secret, for example, are run by Breckenridge Curaçao B.V. (Curaçao OGL/2024/175/0182); CasiTabi and CasinoMe by Lemon Lama Limitada (Anjouan ALSI-202505046-FI2) (checked October 3, 2026). Look for a specific company name and number, and check that the licence seal opens the regulator's own verification page. Every casino in our ranking passed this check. Then pick by how you pay: yen and bank transfer (Yuugado, Vera&John), crypto (Stake, Bitcasino), low wagering (Konibet) or an English interface.
Step 2: Sign up (18+, 20+ at some casinos) with your real details
You will be asked for an email address, password, name, date of birth, address and phone number. These are matched against your ID later, so enter them exactly as they appear on your documents. Sign up through our links and you get 50 free spins at Vera&John and InterCasino, ¥1,500 + a ¥1,500 free bet at Yuugado, ¥2,000 at Mystino and $15 at Casino Secret, all with no deposit (checked October 2, 2026).

Step 3: Verify your identity (KYC) before your first withdrawal
Most casinos ask for photo ID (driving licence, My Number card or passport) and a selfie before the first withdrawal. Konibet asks for documents before you deposit by bank transfer or card, and Eldoah before your first deposit or withdrawal (checked October 3, 2026). Upload them on the day you sign up and you can cash out as soon as you win.

Step 4: Deposit and claim your bonus
Cards, e-wallets and crypto are credited instantly. First-deposit bonuses have a minimum deposit — ¥1,500 ($10) at Yuugado and Mystino — and Vera&John's first deposit bonus is 150% up to $500. Before you accept one, work out how much you will need to wager in Bonuses and wagering explained below. Read the wagering, time limit and maximum-bet rule before playing, and check that the casino can pay you back by the same route — cards usually cannot be used for withdrawals.
Step 5: Play, then withdraw with the same method you deposited with
The rule is "withdraw the way you deposited". Many casinos accept cards for deposits only, so payouts go to a bank account or e-wallet instead. Even without a bonus, the Vera&John group (Vera&John, InterCasino, Yuugado, Mystino and Casino Secret) asks you to wager your deposit twice before withdrawing (terms 4.7). E-wallets and crypto are fastest; bank transfers add 1–3 business days to the casino's review. Set a deposit limit and a session reminder in your account before your first bet.
How to Tell a Trustworthy Online Casino in Japan
Before you play, make sure the casino deserves your trust. You can check it yourself with the three points below — it only takes a few minutes, and it matters more than any bonus.
🧰 Does it have an official licence?
Online casinos need a gaming licence to operate. Well-known regulators include the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), the UK Gambling Commission and the Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA); most casinos for Japan hold a Curaçao or Anjouan licence. A licensed casino has to follow the regulator's rules on fair games, player funds and complaints, and its games are usually tested by independent labs.
The licence logo normally sits at the bottom of the home page, and clicking it should open the regulator's verification page. Check that the company name, licence number and domain match — that is the first thing to look at when you try a new online casino.
📺 How does it handle your personal data?
You enter personal details when you sign up and card or wallet details when you deposit, so make sure the site protects them with SSL encryption (the padlock in the address bar) and publishes a clear privacy policy. A rogue site can misuse your data — another reason to stick to licensed casinos with a named operator.
💳 Does it offer a good range of payment methods?
A good casino makes it easy to move money in and out, so a wide choice of payment methods is a strong sign. Big payment brands also bring their own security checks.
Look for methods that work in Japan both ways: bank transfer in yen, e-wallets such as Vega Wallet and Payz, and crypto. Cards are fine for deposits, but almost never for withdrawals.
Main Payment Methods at Online Casinos in Japan

Global casino sites list dozens of payment brands — PayPal, Sofort, iDEAL, Paysafecard and many more — but most of them are European services that do not work from Japan. What players in Japan actually use is bank transfer, credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, Amex), e-wallets such as Vega Wallet and Payz (formerly ecoPayz), and crypto.
E-wallets and crypto are the most practical because they work for withdrawals too. If anything about a deposit or payout is unclear, ask the casino's support before you send money — a casino that will not answer clearly is not one to trust with your balance. All the details, limits and payout times are in our payment methods comparison below.
Popular Casino Games in Japan

Online Slots
The most popular category by far, with thousands of video slots to choose from.

Card Games
Poker, blackjack, baccarat and the other casino classics.

Roulette
Another classic: choose European, French or American rules.

Scratch Cards
Simple instant-win games: scratch and see the result straight away.

Pai Gow
In Japan, online casinos are the only place to play Pai Gow.

Live Casino
For fans of real casinos: real dealers streamed to your screen.
Popular Casino Games: Rules and House Edge
Online casinos carry thousands of games — over 7,000 at CasiTabi and more than 10,000 at Bitcasino — but most play comes down to slots, live casino, baccarat, blackjack and roulette. Here are the key rules and the share each game keeps over the long run (the house edge).
| Game | Key rules | House edge (approx.) | Learn more |
|---|---|---|---|
| Slots | Choose your stake and spin; symbol combinations pay | RTP 94–97% = 3–6% | Best slots (JP) |
| Baccarat | Bet on whether Player or Banker finishes closer to 9 | Banker ~1.06%, Player ~1.24% | Baccarat rules (JP) |
| Blackjack | Beat the dealer without going over 21 | ~0.5% (basic strategy, 3:2 payout) | Blackjack rules (JP) |
| Roulette | Predict the number or colour where the ball lands | European 2.70%, American 5.26% | Roulette rules (JP) |
| Live casino | Baccarat, roulette and more streamed with real dealers | Same as the underlying game | Live casino Japan |
Slots: choose by RTP and volatility
Every slot publishes its RTP (return to player), which you can find in the game's "i" or rules screen. High-volatility slots pay less often but bigger; low-volatility slots pay small wins more often. Slots usually count 100% towards bonus wagering, which is why bonus spins are always on slots. Slots are the biggest category by far, led by Pragmatic Play titles such as Sweet Bonanza, Gates of Olympus and Starlight Princess.

Popular online slots in Japan
These are the slots we see most often in Japanese lobbies and bonus offers. RTP figures are the provider's published values; a casino can run a different setting, so check the game's info screen.
| Slot | Provider | Published RTP | Why players pick it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sweet Bonanza 1000 | Pragmatic Play | — | Used for the free spins at Vera&John and Mystino |
| Gates of Olympus / 1000 | Pragmatic Play | 96.50% | Zeus-themed multipliers; StealthBet welcome spins |
| Starlight Princess | Pragmatic Play | 96.50% | Anime-style theme, multipliers up to 500x |
| Big Bass Bonanza | Pragmatic Play (Reel Kingdom) | 96.71% | Fishing theme, a long-running series |
| Moon Princess 100 | Play'n GO | — | Japanese-style anime princesses |
| Tempura Princess | — | — | Used for InterCasino's 50 free spins |
RTPs from our Japanese slot guides (Gates of Olympus, Starlight Princess, Big Bass Bonanza), based on Pragmatic Play's official site, September 2026.
Live casino: play with real dealers
Live casino streams a real table from a studio, and you bet with on-screen chips. There are Japanese-dealt baccarat and roulette tables and game shows such as Crazy Time. Each table shows its minimum and maximum bet, so you can pick one that suits your budget.

Baccarat: bet on the hand closest to 9
Aces count 1, 2–9 count face value and 10, J, Q and K count 0; only the last digit of the total matters. With eight decks the Banker wins 45.86% of hands, the Player 44.62% and a tie 9.52%. Banker wins usually pay 1.95x (after a 5% commission), Player 2x and Tie 9x. Whether a third card is drawn is decided automatically — you only choose where to bet. Baccarat is the most popular table game with Japanese players, and Evolution's Japanese Speed Baccarat and casino-branded tables (Konibet Japanese Speed Baccarat, CasiTabi Speed Baccarat) are the main draws.
Blackjack: beat the dealer without going over 21
Cards 2–10 count face value, J, Q and K count 10 and an ace counts 1 or 11. You choose to hit, stand, double down or split. The dealer must draw on 16 or less and stand on 17 or more. Played with basic strategy, the house edge is about 0.5% — the lowest of any casino game. Choose tables that pay blackjack at 3:2 (2.5x), not 6:5 (2.2x).
RTP and Odds Explained (with Examples)
RTP (return to player) is the share of all bets a game pays back over the long run; the house edge is what is left for the casino. At 96% RTP, ¥1,000,000 of bets returns ¥960,000 on average and loses ¥40,000. Single results swing a lot with luck, but the more you play, the closer you get to the average.
Example: average loss on ¥1,000,000 of bets
| Game | House edge (approx.) | Average loss on ¥1,000,000 wagered |
|---|---|---|
| Blackjack (basic strategy) | 0.50% | ~¥5,000 |
| Baccarat — Banker | 1.06% | ~¥10,579 |
| European roulette | 2.70% | ~¥27,027 |
| Slot (96% RTP) | 4.00% | ~¥40,000 |
| American roulette | 5.26% | ~¥52,632 |
| Slot (94% RTP) | 6.00% | ~¥60,000 |
Our calculation (house edge × total amount wagered). Assumptions are explained in our casino strategy guide (in Japanese).
Probability: the more you play, the closer you get to the average
We simulated betting one unit at a time on red/black in European roulette (48.65% chance to win, pays 2x). The chance of finishing ahead was 34.4% after 10 spins, 18.8% after 1,000 spins and just 0.3% after 10,000. Over a short session you can easily finish ahead; over a long one, results drift towards the house edge. "Withdraw part of your winnings" and "set a time and a budget" are the sensible way to play — the maths agrees.
| Spins played | Average result | Chance of finishing ahead |
|---|---|---|
| 10 | −0.3 units | 34.4% |
| 100 | −2.7 units | 35.5% |
| 1,000 | −27.0 units | 18.8% |
| 10,000 | −270.3 units | 0.3% |
Do betting systems like the Martingale change the odds?
With the Martingale (double your stake after every loss), 10,000 simulated runs reached the target 69.0% of the time and hit the bankroll or table limit 30.9% of the time, losing 2.71% of the total amount wagered. Betting systems change the shape of your wins and losses, not your chance of winning. Our comparison of seven systems is in the casino strategy guide (10,000-run simulation, in Japanese).

Game Providers at Online Casinos in Japan
Licensed online casinos do not run their own game servers: they license games from software providers and serve them through the provider's platform. A casino that controlled the game maths itself could quietly change payouts — which is exactly what licensing and independent testing are there to prevent.
That is why trustworthy casinos partner with established providers whose games are tested for fairness, and why you see the same well-known titles across the casinos in our ranking.
Main Game Providers

- Pragmatic Play (slots and live casino)
- Evolution (live casino and game shows)
- Play'n GO
- NetEnt
- Microgaming
- Red Tiger
- Big Time Gaming
Customer Support at Online Casinos in Japan

For any global company, customer support is one of the clearest signs of quality, and competitive online casinos invest heavily in it. A good test before you deposit is simply to ask support a question. Live chat is the standard today and answers within minutes; for anything involving money — a delayed withdrawal, a missing deposit — follow up by email so you have a written record.
In our experience, the casinos that pay on time and process withdrawals smoothly are also the ones with the most helpful support staff. These casinos answer in Japanese — and the hours matter if you play in the evening:
- Konibet – Japanese live chat 24/7, plus LINE and email
- Bitcasino – Japanese live chat 24/7
- Vera&John – Japanese live chat every day (weekdays 11:30–22:30, weekends 16:30–22:30)
- CasiTabi – live chat 15:00–01:00 JST, email 24 hours
- Mystino – live chat 16:00–04:00 JST
- InterCasino – a long-established brand with a large library of Japanese help articles
Online Casinos in Japan That Work in English
Most casinos that serve Japan are built for Japanese speakers, but many also run a full English version. From a Japanese IP they usually open in Japanese: use the /en address (Vera&John, InterCasino, Yuugado, Mystino, Casino Secret) or the language menu (Konibet, Bons, Bitcasino). Promotional banners often stay in Japanese even in English mode. We checked every site in our top 10 (checked October 5, 2026):
| Casino | English interface? | Details (checked October 5, 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Vera&John | Yes | Yes — full English version at play.verajohn-3.net/en |
| Konibet | Yes | Yes — English in the language menu (konibet.com/en); some banners stay in Japanese |
| CasiTabi | No (Japanese only) | No — Japanese only; the /en/ address redirects to the Japanese site |
| Stake | English T&C | Terms and conditions in English (checked September 27, 2026); menus, sign-up and blog in Japanese |
| Mystino | Yes | Yes — English version at play.mystino-1.net/en |
| Yuugado | Yes | Yes — English version at play.yuugado-3.net/en |
| InterCasino | Yes | Yes — English version at play.intercasino.net/en |
| Bons Casino | Yes | Yes — bons.com is in English by default; Japanese at bons.com/ja |
| Bitcasino | Yes (language menu) | Yes — English is in the language selector (12 languages); opens in Japanese from a Japanese IP |
| Casino Secret | Yes (/en) | Yes — full English site at play.casinosecret-3.net/en (opened from a Japanese IP, October 5, 2026) |
In short: eight can be used in English: Vera&John, InterCasino, Yuugado, Mystino and Casino Secret have English versions under /en, while Konibet, Bons and Bitcasino offer English in their language menu. CasiTabi is Japanese-only, and Stake publishes its terms and conditions in English. If you do not read Japanese, start with a casino marked "Yes".
Payment Methods Compared: Minimums, Limits and Payout Times
Payments are where casinos for Japan really differ from global sites. There are four main ways to deposit: credit cards, e-wallets, bank transfer and crypto. Because you normally withdraw with the same method you deposited with, check whether a method also works for withdrawals before you choose it. Figures in the first table come from the payment guides of the Vera&John group (Vera&John, InterCasino, Yuugado), checked October 3, 2026.
By method: speed, minimum deposit and fees
| Method | Deposit credited | Minimum deposit | Casino fee | Works for withdrawals? | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bank transfer | 5–60 minutes | $10 | Free | Yes | Keeping everything in your bank account |
| E-wallets | Instant | $10 | Free | Yes | Fast deposits; using several casinos |
| Crypto | Instant (after confirmation) | $0.01 | Free (network fee extra) | Yes | Small deposits and fast payouts |
| Credit card | Instant | $10 | 2.25% (max $5) | No (deposits only) | When a card is all you have |
By casino: payout time, minimum withdrawal and limits
| Casino | Payout time (official wording) | Minimum withdrawal | Limits and fees |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bitcasino | Crypto approved in ~2 minutes on average; fiat within 24 hours | USDT 20 | No maximum (very large amounts may be paid in weekly instalments of 1,000,000 USDT) |
| Konibet | Review usually about 2 hours | $40 | No fees; crypto up to $100,000 per request |
| CasiTabi | Reviewed within 24 hours; bank and e-wallets paid right after approval | $20 ($50 by bank) | Up to $5,000 per withdrawal, no fees |
| CasinoMe | Checked within 24 hours; same day to 5 business days after approval | $20 ($50 by bank) | Up to $5,000 per withdrawal, no casino fee |
| Eldoah | "Instant deposits and withdrawals" | ¥5,000 (¥30,000 by bank) | No maximum; 5% on bank withdrawals only |
| Vera&John | Usually 3–5 business days (T&C 4.11) | Bank transfer from $1 | Up to $10,000 a week (T&C 4.8); 5% on bank withdrawals |

Playing in Japanese yen (JPY)
Yuugado and Mystino run in yen; Vera&John, InterCasino and Casino Secret let you choose USD or JPY; Eldoah keeps your balance in yen while you deposit crypto. Konibet, CasiTabi and CasinoMe use a dollar account, so your bank or card will convert. If you think in yen, a JPY account avoids exchange-rate surprises on both deposit and payout.
Bank transfer
Bank transfer is the most familiar way to get money back into a Japanese account. Vera&John, Yuugado, InterCasino and Konibet support it both ways; Mystino and CasiTabi use it for withdrawals only. Watch for fees — Vera&John charges 5% on bank withdrawals.
E-wallets: Vega Wallet, Payz and Tiger Pay
E-wallets sit between your bank and the casino, and they are usually the fastest fiat option: a few hours to one business day once your account is verified. Vega Wallet and Payz (formerly ecoPayz) are accepted at most of the top ten; and Konibet also takes Tiger Pay.
Credit and debit cards
Visa, Mastercard and JCB are widely accepted for deposits (Amex at several sites), but cards are almost never used for withdrawals. Plan your payout route before you deposit — Bons, for example, only pays out with the method you deposited with and does not pay out to cards.
How to get your withdrawal faster
- Verify your identity first. Most waiting time is document review — upload your documents on the day you sign up.
- Withdraw with your deposit method. If you deposited by card, withdraw to the bank or e-wallet the casino names.
- Check the minimum and maximum before you request. CasiTabi and CasinoMe pay bank withdrawals from $50, up to $5,000 at a time.
- Mind bank business days. Bank payouts may not arrive at weekends or on Japanese holidays.
- In a hurry? Use crypto. Bitcasino approves withdrawals in about 2 minutes on average (blockchain time is extra).

Withdrawal rules worth knowing
The Vera&John group (Vera&John, Yuugado, InterCasino) asks you to wager your deposit 2x before withdrawing and normally pays in 3–5 business days. Konibet reviews withdrawals in about two hours with no fees. Casino Secret caps withdrawals at $10,000 a week and $50,000 a month; Yuugado at ¥1,500,000 a week.
Play for Free: How to Use Online Casino Bonuses in Japan

Online casinos for Japan are full of offers: no-deposit bonuses you get for free, deposit match bonuses, and limited-time promotions. The best for new players is the no-deposit bonus — sign up and you get free spins or bonus money to try the casino without spending your own.
Here are the main bonus types you will find at casinos that accept players from Japan.
Most of these rewards can be claimed only once, some need a bonus code, and some are lost if you miss the timing. Bonuses can also be limited to certain games, so always read the terms before you use one.
-
Sign-up (welcome) bonus
A welcome bonus is what you get for opening an account and making your first deposits. At the casinos in our ranking it is usually spread over the first three deposits: Vera&John and InterCasino give up to $1,000 + 150 free spins, Yuugado and Mystino up to ¥150,000 + 150 free spins, all at 20x. Deposit match bonuses like these are offered only a few times per player, so claim them when you make your first deposits.
-
No-deposit bonus
As the name says, you get it just for opening an account — no deposit needed. It is the best way to try a casino risk-free. Several casinos also give a no-deposit bonus only to players who sign up through a partner site like ours: through our links you get 50 free spins at Vera&John and InterCasino, ¥2,000 at Mystino, ¥1,500 + a ¥1,500 free bet at Yuugado and $15 at Casino Secret. All current offers are in our no deposit bonus guide.
-
Free spins
Ranked No. 2 on our site: Konibet runs many promotions with free spins and is known for fast withdrawals. Read our Konibet review.
Free spins are tied to one slot and a fixed stake. Vera&John and Mystino use Sweet Bonanza 1000 at $0.20 (¥20) a spin, InterCasino uses Tempura Princess and StealthBet's welcome package uses Gates of Olympus 1000. Winnings usually turn into bonus money with wagering, so 50 spins at $0.20 is "$10 of play", not $10 in cash.
Some spins expire fast (Vera&John's must be used within 48 hours), some are part of a welcome package and others come with new game launches — keep an eye on the promotions page.
-
Deposit bonus
A deposit bonus adds a percentage of your deposit as bonus money — typically 50% to 200% — sometimes with free spins on top. Bons Casino, for example, matches your first five deposits at 200%, 100%, 50%, 50% and 25% and adds 200 free spins. Some bonuses need a code, and if you forget to claim one when you deposit, you usually cannot get it afterwards — if that happens, ask live chat politely; it sometimes helps.
-
Reload bonus
A reload bonus rewards deposits after the welcome package — for example free spins at the weekend for depositing during the week. Mystino, for instance, gives 20 free spins a day once you have made three deposits. Reload offers often have to be claimed, so check how each one works.

-
Cashback
Cashback returns part of your losses. The best versions pay real money with no wagering: Konibet's revenge bonus (0x), Casino Secret's instant cashback, Bitcasino's weekly rakeback and Stake's rakeback. For regular players these are often worth more than a one-off welcome bonus. Some are paid automatically, others on request.
-
Promotions

Most casinos also run daily and weekly promotions and tournaments, with cash, bonus money or free spins as prizes for slots, table games and live casino. They are announced on the promotions page and by email, and their terms are often lighter than standard bonuses — some even have no wagering at all.
Bonuses and Wagering Explained (with Examples)
To withdraw money won with a bonus, you have to bet a set multiple of the bonus (or of your free-spin winnings). That is the wagering requirement, also called playthrough or rollover. Two bonuses of the same size can be worth very different amounts depending on the multiplier, the time limit and how much each game counts.
No-deposit bonuses through our links (checked October 2, 2026)
| Casino | No-deposit bonus | Wagering / time limit | Cash-out cap before deposit | Official site |

| Mystino | ¥2,000 (¥1,000 casino + ¥1,000 free bet) | Casino part 20x, 30 days | ¥10,000 | Visit |
| Casino Secret | $15 | 20x, 30 days | $150 | Visit |
| Vera&John | 50 free spins × $0.20 (Sweet Bonanza 1000) | Winnings 20x, 30 days | 10x the bonus | Visit |

Example: how much you must bet, and the average cost of clearing it
Wagering = bonus × multiplier. On a 96% RTP slot you lose about 4% of everything you bet, on average, while you clear it.
| Bonus | Amount to wager | Average loss on a 96% RTP slot | Expected balance left (theory) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Yuugado ¥1,500 at 20x | ¥1,500 × 20 = ¥30,000 | ~¥1,200 | ~¥300 |
| Mystino ¥1,000 casino part at 20x | ¥1,000 × 20 = ¥20,000 | ~¥800 | ~¥200 |
| Casino Secret $15 at 20x | $15 × 20 = $300 | ~$12 | ~$3 |
| $5 of free-spin winnings at 30x | $5 × 30 = $150 | ~$6 | $0 (runs out on average) |
On average little is left, but slots swing a lot: some players hit a big win and clear the wagering, others run out. The real value of a no-deposit bonus is trying a casino without risking your own money — and you can keep winnings up to the cash-out cap (¥15,000 at Yuugado).
Also check game weighting, maximum bet and time limit
| Rule | Vera&John group example (checked October 3, 2026) | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Game weighting | Slots 100%, roulette 15%, baccarat and other tables 10% | Clearing with baccarat needs 10x more real bets |
| Maximum bet | Slots $6.25 (¥625), tables $25 (¥2,500) | Going over can void your winnings |
| Time limit | 30 days (Bitcasino: 7 days) | Bonus and winnings expire |
| Wagering your deposit | 2x your deposit even without a bonus (Bons and Casino-X: 3x) | Withdrawal refused or charged a fee |
Welcome bonuses compared
| Casino | Welcome bonus | Wagering |
|---|---|---|
| Vera&John / InterCasino | Up to $1,000 + 150 FS over 3 deposits | 20x |
| Yuugado / Mystino | Up to ¥150,000 + 150 FS over 3 deposits | 20x (Mystino sports option 10x) |
| CasiTabi | Casino up to $500 + 250 FS, or sports $100 + 50 FS | 20x / 10x |
| Konibet | Revenge cashback 50–65%, up to $650 | 0x |
| Bons Casino | 5 deposits: 200/100/50/50/25% + 200 FS | 20x on spins |
| Bitcasino | Up to 5,000 USDT | 30x within 7 days |
| Stake | Rakeback (3.5% of house edge) from day one | None |
If you only want to play small, playing without a bonus can sometimes make withdrawing easier. Multipliers and each casino's rules are explained in our no deposit bonus guide.
Find the Right Online Casino in Japan for You
Bonus-heavy, beginner-friendly, RPG-style, high-roller, sports betting, huge slot libraries — online casinos come in many types. Try a few and find the one that fits the way you like to play.
Here is a quick guide to each type, with our picks for players in Japan. For the full order, see the top 10 ranking above.
-
I just want a free bonus – best for beginners
Free spins and free money with no deposit are the easiest way to start. If you are new to online casinos, use no-deposit bonuses to try several casinos before you commit to one.
These casinos give you a bonus just for signing up:
- Vera&John – 50 no-deposit free spins ($10 in total), 20x wagering
- Casino Secret – $15 with no deposit, 20x wagering
- Konibet – $20 no-deposit bonus, 5x wagering
- Yuugado – ¥1,500 + ¥1,500 free bet with no deposit, 20x wagering
- Mystino – ¥2,000 with no deposit (¥1,000 casino + ¥1,000 free bet; checked October 2026)
Do not compare on the amount alone: $10 at 20x means $200 of bets, while $20 at 5x means only $100. The full comparison, terms included, is in our no deposit bonus guide.
-
Online casinos with RPG elements
If you love video games, an RPG-style casino is hard to beat. The best-known one in Japan works fully in Japanese:
Billed as the world's first RPG online casino (running since 2015), CasiTabi has you travel across a map, beat bosses and open treasure chests while you play — every spin moves your character forward, so you enjoy a story as well as the games. It also added a sportsbook in 2019. One thing to know: the site is Japanese-only.
-
Best online casinos in Japan for high rollers
- You have a bigger budget and like higher stakes
- You want high-volatility games with big potential wins
- You want no cap on winnings
- You want no (or high) withdrawal limits
If that sounds like you, these are the casinos to look at. After a big win you want your money quickly — but not every casino pays out without limits. Many cap the stake per bet or the amount you can withdraw at once, while some high-roller-friendly casinos have no limit at all.
- Bitcasino – no maximum withdrawal; crypto withdrawals approved in about 2 minutes on average
- Stake – fast crypto payouts and no maximum withdrawal (official blog), even for large amounts
If you play big, check the withdrawal limits and the KYC process before the bonus size. At casinos with a weekly cap, a big win can only be withdrawn in instalments: Bitcasino and Stake set no maximum, while Vera&John pays up to $10,000 a week and Yuugado up to ¥1,500,000 a week.
-
Jackpot slots at online casinos in Japan
Want a shot at a life-changing win? Progressive jackpot slots pool part of every bet from players around the world into one prize that keeps growing until a single player wins it — a little like a lottery inside a slot.
A few hundred yen can, in theory, win millions. It is pure luck rather than strategy, so play it as entertainment with money you can afford to spend.
Our picks for jackpot slots:
- Vera&John – a wide jackpot slot selection and the best-known brand in Japan
- Bitcasino – spin jackpot slots directly in crypto
Because the prize pool is shared worldwide, the same jackpot pays the same wherever you play it. What differs is whether you can withdraw a big win quickly: Vera&John pays up to $10,000 a week, Bitcasino has no limit.
-
Online casinos with sports betting
Sportsbooks are hugely popular in Europe, and from Japan you can bet through casinos that include one: baseball, football and tennis, as well as sports less followed in Japan such as ice hockey or cricket.
A casino with a sportsbook in the same account saves you moving money between sites. These all have one:
- Stake – casino and sports betting in one account
- CasiTabi – sportsbook in the same account, plus a sports welcome bonus
- Bons Casino – large game library and a sportsbook in the same account
- Yuugado – ¥1,500 sports free bet with no deposit through our link
All of them cover the major baseball and football leagues, so compare the odds for the sports you bet on and the payment methods. For crypto, Stake; to keep things simple in yen, Yuugado or Mystino. More in our sports betting in Japan guide.
-
Online casinos with the most video slots
Video slots are the classic online casino game, loved around the world. Beyond the old favourites, the top casinos keep adding beautiful new games, and there are plenty that work in Japanese and English.
From big-name hits to slots with great soundtracks or storylines, you will find your favourite. If you want to try as many as possible, start here:
- Vera&John – a large library and early releases of popular titles
- Bons Casino – a big game library, plus a sportsbook in the same account
Check that the providers you like are there before you look at the total number of games — thousands of slots mean little if the one you want is from a provider the casino does not carry.
Playing with Crypto
More and more casinos let you deposit and withdraw in Bitcoin (BTC) or Tether (USDT). Crypto lets you start small and get paid fast. The one risk is sending on the wrong network, which can mean losing the coins — always use the address and network shown on the casino's deposit screen. Stake and Bitcasino are crypto-first; Konibet, Bons, the Vera&John group and Eldoah accept crypto alongside yen or dollars.
Crypto casinos compared: minimum deposit and payout time
| Casino | Coins | Minimum deposit | Payout (official) | Highlights |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bitcasino | 13 | USDT 0.25 | Approved in ~2 minutes on average | Welcome up to 5,000 USDT (30x, 7 days) |
| Stake | 20 | None | Depends on blockchain confirmation | No maximum withdrawal; Stake Originals |
| StealthBet | 13 | $0.01 | Reviewed within 24 h, usually paid within 24 h after approval | 30 USDT with no deposit through our link (official site) |
| Eldoah | 8 | USDT worth $10 | "Instant" | Balance in yen; USDT on 7 networks |
| CasinoMe | 15 | $20 | Instant after processing, usually within 24 h | No casino fee |
From each casino's official site, checked October 3–5, 2026.
| Casino | Coins | Minimums | Withdrawal |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stake | 20 incl. BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, SOL, XRP | No minimum deposit (official blog); USDT withdrawal from 2.5 | No maximum (official blog) |
| Bitcasino | 13 incl. BTC, ETH, USDT, TON | USDT deposit from 0.25; withdrawal from 20 USDT | Approval ~2 min on average; no maximum |
| Konibet | BTC, ETH, LTC, XRP, DOGE, USDT | Deposit from $20; withdrawal from $40 | Up to $100,000 per request; review ~2 h |
| Eldoah | USDT (7 networks), BTC, XRP, LTC, DOGE, SOL, TRX, ETH | Withdrawal from ¥5,000 | No maximum; "instant" (FAQ) |
| Vera&John / Yuugado / InterCasino | BTC, USDT, ETH, LTC, BCH, XRP | Deposit from $0.01 | Review within 24 h, then usually sent within 24 h |
From each casino's payment pages, help centre and terms, checked October 3, 2026.

Crypto deposits and withdrawals: networks and price swings
- Match the network: USDT runs on ERC20, TRC20, BEP20 and others — choose the same one on both sides
- Price swings: a balance held in BTC or ETH changes value in yen with the market; USDT or USDC avoid that
- Minimums: some casinos do not credit transfers below the minimum deposit
- Tax (residents of Japan): gains from selling or spending crypto are generally miscellaneous income, separate from casino results (National Tax Agency)
Some casinos, like CasiTabi and CasinoMe, do not credit deposits sent on a different network. Our crypto casinos guide compares more sites, coins and withdrawal limits.
Online Casinos with Sports Betting
Yuugado, Mystino, CasiTabi, Bons Casino and Stake let you bet on NPB baseball, MLB, the J.League, the NBA and more from the same account as the casino. Sports bonuses usually carry around 10x wagering — lighter than the ~20x typical for casino bonuses.
Sports offers compared (through our links, checked October 5, 2026)
| Casino | Sports offer | Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| Yuugado | ¥1,500 free bet (no deposit) + first deposit 150% up to ¥75,000 | Sports bonus 10x, odds 1.70+, 30 days |
| Mystino | ¥1,000 free bet (no deposit) + first deposit 150% up to ¥75,000 | Sports bonus 10x |
| CasiTabi | 100% of the first deposit as free bets, up to $100 | Singles only, odds 1.5+ |
| Bons Casino | ¥1,000 free bet for a first deposit of ¥2,000+ | 8x wagering, 365 days |

Free bet example
With a free bet you keep only the profit, not the stake. Yuugado's ¥1,500 free bet placed at odds of 2.00 returns ¥1,500 × (2.00 − 1) = ¥1,500 if it wins; at odds of 3.00, ¥3,000. Higher odds pay more but win less often. Odds, markets and the bookmakers that still accept Japan are compared in our sports betting in Japan guide.
Online Casino Strategy: Tips to Play Smarter

Online casinos are easy to play, but they are still gambling with real money, so there is no system that "always wins". What you can do is borrow the strategies players have used in land-based casinos for decades.
Strictly speaking, these tips do not guarantee wins — they improve your odds a little and reduce your risk. Playing with a plan is still the shortest route to getting more out of every session. Here are the ones that work online:
🎰 Choose a casino that pays out and processes withdrawals smoothly
The basics first: play only at casinos with a licence you can verify. The licence details are usually at the bottom of the site, and clicking the seal should open the regulator's page. Licensed casinos are held to rules on fairness and security, and games from major providers are tested by independent labs. A reliable casino also handles withdrawals without drama — check these points before you play anywhere new.
🎰 Bonus wagering: know when to say no
To withdraw winnings made with a bonus, you must bet a multiple of it — the wagering requirement. Almost every casino uses one, and it is the key to judging a bonus. Read the terms first and steer clear of offers at 50x or more.
Do the maths: at 50x, ¥10,000 of bonus means ¥500,000 of bets — realistically out of reach. However big the bonus, a casino with extreme wagering is not worth it. Compare: Konibet's $20 at 5x needs only $100 of bets.
🎰 Use free spins before they expire
Free spins come with a fixed stake set by the casino — at Vera&John and Mystino $0.20 a spin on Sweet Bonanza 1000 — and a short deadline: Vera&John's 50 spins must be used within 48 hours. Play them promptly, then check how the winnings are credited (usually as bonus money with wagering) and the maximum bet allowed while clearing it.
🎰 Sometimes it pays to skip the bonus
Turning down an offer sounds wasteful, but depending on the wagering, playing without a bonus can make it easier to keep what you win: with no bonus attached, you can withdraw whenever you like.
Bonuses are great for trying a new casino or new games, and low-wagering ones are always worth taking. But if you plan to chase big wins on high-volatility games, consider playing without one — and offers above 40x are realistically very hard to clear.
🎰 Check the game's volatility
Games have high or low volatility. High-volatility slots go long stretches without hitting but pay big when they do — great when they land, but they can eat a budget before that happens.
Well-known high-volatility slots include Jammin' Jars and Book of Dead, both hugely popular worldwide. Low-volatility games pay small wins often, which suits players on a smaller budget; Starburst is the classic example. Decide when you will stop before you start, and quit while you are ahead rather than waiting for "one more" win.
🎰 Skip the side bets
Side bets in blackjack and baccarat usually carry a much higher house edge than the main bet. Skipping them keeps your odds closer to the game's best.
🎰 Playing roulette? Choose European
The house edge is the casino's share, so lower is better for you. European roulette has a house edge of 2.70%, against 5.26% for American roulette with its extra double zero — simply choosing the European wheel nearly halves the cost of playing.
Blackjack (about 0.5% with basic strategy) and baccarat on the Banker (about 1.06%) are also among the lowest-edge games.
🎰 Do not play one game for too long
Most online casino games have an RTP of 95–97%, published and checked by independent testing labs, so the casino cannot tamper with it.
But RTP is always below 100%, which means the longer you play, the more you are expected to lose. The biggest trap is playing one game for hours until the budget is gone. Set a time or budget limit for each game and move on or stop when you reach it — simple, and the most important strategy of all.
Live Casino Japan: Japanese Tables and Exclusive Rooms

At the top online casinos you can play live casino anywhere, any time: a real dealer is streamed from a studio and you bet on screen. There is no land-based casino to walk into in Japan yet, so live casino is the closest thing to a night in Macau or Las Vegas — without the dress code, and in Japanese or English. The casinos for Japan are strong here: many tables are dealt in Japanese and several brands run their own branded tables. We opened each live lobby from a Japanese IP on October 3, 2026.
| Casino | What stands out in the live lobby | Main providers |
|---|---|---|
| Vera&John | Vera&John Live Roulette, Japanese Speed Baccarat | Evolution, Pragmatic Play |
| Konibet | Konibet Japanese Speed Baccarat, many baccarat categories, Live RTP page | Evolution, Pragmatic Play |
| CasiTabi | Original Speed Baccarat, Blackjack X, filter by bet range | Evolution and others |
| Bitcasino | Exclusive Speed Baccarat / Roulette, Privé Lounge | Evolution, Pragmatic Play Live, Winfinity |
| Bons Casino | Game-show category, provider filters | Evolution, Microgaming |

Game shows such as Crazy Time, Funky Time and Monopoly Big Baller are popular too: big multipliers, low odds per round, best played small. Remember that live games often count little or nothing towards bonus wagering. More tables, limits and tips are in our live casino Japan guide.
Live casino online even has a few advantages over a real casino floor:
Live casino advantages you only get online
- Lower minimum bets
- Bonuses let you play more than your budget
- There is always a free seat
- You can play several games at once
- No dress code — pyjamas welcome
- Nobody minds if you are still learning the rules
- Play in Japanese or English
1. Lower minimum bets
Live roulette starts from about $0.10 a spin and live baccarat from about $0.50 a hand — far below the $25–$50 minimums common at baccarat tables in Las Vegas. Anyone who has played in a real casino is surprised how far a small budget goes online.
2. Bonuses you will not get at a real casino
Online casinos offer no-deposit bonuses for new players and deposit match bonuses that can be used on live games (check how much live games count towards wagering). A land-based casino gives you none of that, so the same budget usually lasts longer online.
3. There is always a free seat
Live casino runs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and there is always an open table — no wandering the floor waiting for a seat.
4. Play several games at once
Split your screen, or use a computer and a phone together, and you can follow more than one table at the same time — something only live casino online makes possible.
5. No dress code
Many land-based casinos expect smart dress, and for some visitors the evening is as much a social occasion as gambling. Online, you can play whenever you like, wearing whatever you like.
6. Easy for beginners
Table games in a real casino can feel intimidating at first: you deal with the dealer and other players, and the regulars know the routine.
Online you can join at your own pace, read the rules on screen, practise first on RNG versions, and even keep notes while you play — something land-based casinos usually do not allow.
7. Play in Japanese or English
Casino gambling is not available in Japan yet — the first integrated resort is planned in Osaka for 2030 — so until now playing at a real table meant a trip to Macau or Las Vegas. Online casinos remove the language barrier: tables are dealt in English and many in Japanese, and the lobby, cashier and support work in either language at most of our top casinos.
- Vera&John – Japanese Speed Baccarat and its own Vera&John Live Roulette, full English site
- Konibet – Japanese chat 24/7 if something goes wrong mid-game, plus a Live RTP page
- InterCasino – online since 1996, with a wide range of live tables
Live games cannot be paused, so support that answers at the hour you play matters more here than anywhere else — Konibet's 24/7 chat makes a real difference.

Crypto-first, with rakeback unlocked from day one by referral code
Rakeback from day one — Enter a referral code within 24 hours of sign-up

Long-term value comes from the 15-rank VIP club. Stake also has some of the most detailed responsible-gambling controls we have seen: deposit limits, product exclusions and self-exclusion.

As a first casino, Vera&John — the brand with the most information in English and Japanese — or Konibet, with its 5x no-deposit wagering, are the easiest choices. If you prefer to think in yen, choose Yuugado or Mystino; if you already hold crypto, Stake or Bitcasino. Compare more crypto sites in our crypto casinos guide.
More Casinos That Accept Players in Japan (11–18)
Outside the top ten there are more casinos we have checked. Numbers 11–14 have a full review on our site and a longer track record; 15–18 added Japanese in 2025–2026 and offer big bonuses, but their history is short, so they sit lower. For those four we read the restricted-countries list in the terms on October 3, 2026 and confirmed that Japan is not on it. (BetGoat was removed because its terms list Japan as a restricted country.)

Checked on the official sites and terms, September 29 – October 5, 2026. Through our links: Eldoah, JoyCasino, Casino-X, CasinoMe and StealthBet.
One of these deserves a mention for players on a budget: Eldoah keeps almost every bonus at 1x wagering, gives ¥2,000 with no deposit through our link, holds your balance in yen and supports USDT on seven networks.
How We Choose and Rank Online Casinos in Japan
Every casino in this guide was opened from a Japanese IP address. We read the home page, promotions, terms, help centre and cashier, and we record the operator name and licence number exactly as the footer shows them. Offers are the ones you see when you click our links, because affiliate offers can differ from what the public site shows. Being paid by a casino never changes its position, and a casino whose terms list Japan as a restricted country is never listed. Our full method is on the editorial policy page (in Japanese).
| Criterion | What we check | Weight |
|---|---|---|
| Withdrawals | Limits, documents, number of payout methods, real processing times | 25 points |
| Licence and operator | Who issues the licence, whether the number matches the operator, years in business | 20 points |
| Realistic wagering | Multiplier, eligible games, time limit, max bet and cash-out caps | Scored |
| Support | Japanese live chat hours, LINE, email; quality of the Japanese (and English) | Scored |
| Payment range | Cards, e-wallets, bank transfer and crypto; fees | Scored |
| Games and providers | Total games and how many live-casino providers | Scored |
| Mobile | App or browser, how the lobby works on a phone | Scored |
| Responsible gambling | Deposit limits, self-exclusion and cool-off actually available | Scored |
Withdrawals and licence together make up 45% of the total score.
Licence and security
We only list casinos that show an operator and a licence number we can match. A Curaçao CGA number (OGL/2024/…) or an Anjouan number (ALSI-…) can be checked on the regulator's site; we compare the number, company name and domain.
Withdrawals first
A bonus is worth nothing if you cannot cash out. We look at minimum and maximum withdrawals, how long reviews take (from about two minutes for crypto at Bitcasino to 3–5 business days at the Vera&John group), and fees such as the 5% on Vera&John bank withdrawals or Bons' 10% from the third withdrawal of the day.
Bonus terms, not bonus size
A $20 bonus at 5x (Konibet) is easier to withdraw than a large match at 30x within seven days. We score the wagering, time limit and caps, not the headline.
Language and support
For this English guide we added one more check: whether the casino has an English interface. Japanese support hours matter too — 24/7 at Konibet and Bitcasino, 16:00–04:00 at Mystino, 15:00–01:00 live chat at CasiTabi.
Mobile Casinos and Apps in Japan

Almost everyone has a smartphone now, and online casinos for Japan are built for it. Nearly all of them work in a mobile browser, and a few also offer apps. These are the criteria we use for a good mobile casino:
- A mobile site in Japanese (and ideally English)
- Works on iOS, Android and tablets
- Games designed for touch screens
- Safe, simple payment methods on mobile
- Loads quickly
Every casino in our ranking passes, and that is how most people in Japan play. A few also offer apps: Vera&John shows Android and iOS buttons, and Bons Casino has Android and iOS apps. CasiTabi has no app but runs smoothly in the browser. For live casino on mobile, use a stable Wi-Fi connection — video streams drop on weak signals, and a dropped bet in a speed game is easy to miss.
| Casino | App | Browser | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vera&John | Android and iOS buttons on site | Yes | Same account in English or Japanese |
| Bons Casino | Android and iOS | Yes | Login with email, LINE, Google or Yahoo! |
| CasiTabi | No dedicated app | Yes | RPG map works on mobile |
| Stake / Bitcasino | — | Yes | Crypto wallets on phone make deposits quick |
- Vera&John – every game runs in the browser without an app, in English or Japanese
- Konibet – live chat, LINE and email 24/7 from your phone
- Stake – casino and sports betting on one screen
Whether a casino has a dedicated app hardly matters any more: the main casinos are built so every feature works in the browser. What makes the real difference on a small screen is how easy the cashier is to find and use.

Check Before You Play: 4 Reasons to Choose Your Online Casino Carefully
Search for "online casino Japan" and you will find hundreds of sites, and more comparison sites every year. Do not pick a casino just because it promises the biggest bonus. A few sites exist only to collect deposits or personal data. Here is what to watch for:
1 – The wins stop the moment you deposit
A rogue casino can rig its own games so that free spins and demo mode pay well, then the hits dry up once you deposit real money. Licensed casinos use games from tested providers, which is exactly what prevents this.
2 – Withdrawals that never seem to go through
Some sites keep asking for "one more document" so your withdrawal never completes. Legitimate casinos publish what they need for KYC and how long reviews take — Konibet about 2 hours, CasiTabi within 24 hours, the Vera&John group 3–5 business days.
3 – Harsh or hidden wagering
A site can hand out generous bonuses and then reveal extreme wagering when you try to withdraw. Trustworthy casinos publish the terms clearly. Always read them before you accept a bonus, and ask support if anything is unclear.
4 – Misuse of personal and financial data
A site without proper security can leak your personal and card details, and some fake sites exist only to harvest them. Choosing a licensed casino with SSL and a named operator is the most important protection you have.
So, three things to check in every casino:
- An official licence you can verify
- How it handles your personal data
- A good range of payment methods
These are explained in How to tell a trustworthy online casino above. Online casinos are run by companies abroad, so if something goes wrong it can take time to resolve — another reason to choose carefully. Every casino in our ranking meets all three points.
Common Problems and How to Avoid Them
The two problems players ask about most are "I can't withdraw" and "my deposit hasn't arrived". Almost always the cause is a term in the rules or a missing document — check the points below before you request a payout.
Why a withdrawal fails, and what to do
| Cause | Typical symptom | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Wagering not complete | You have a balance but cannot withdraw | Check the remaining wagering and complete it |
| Deposit not wagered enough | Refused even without a bonus | At the Vera&John group, wager at least 2x your deposit |
| KYC not finished | Request stops while documents are requested | Upload ID and a selfie, plus proof of address if asked |
| Details do not match documents | Rejected over a name, address or date of birth | Correct them to match your ID, then request again |
| Different deposit and withdrawal methods | Request cancelled | Withdraw with your deposit method (for cards, the method the casino names) |
| Minimums and limits | Cannot request, or only part is paid | Check the minimum and the weekly or per-request cap, and split it |

Fixes for each cause are explained in our Japanese guide Can't withdraw from an online casino?.
How to spot fake and copycat casino sites
Some sites copy the name and logo of well-known casinos. Here is how to tell them apart — and the "Visit site" buttons on our pages always lead to each casino's official sign-up page. Real examples are in our guide to fake casino sites (in Japanese).
| Where to look | On the real site | Warning sign |
|---|---|---|
| Operator in the footer | Company name, registered address and registration number | No company named anywhere |
| Licence number | A named regulator and a specific number | Only a vague "regulator" |
| Licence seal | Clicking opens the regulator's page and the domain matches | An image that links nowhere |
| Language quality | Natural Japanese and English | Stray words from other languages |
Rules to know before you deposit
- Your own name only: no family, friends' or company accounts or cards
- One account per person: duplicate accounts lead to confiscated bonuses and closure
- No chargebacks: asking your card company to reverse a deposit can close the account and void the balance
- Set a budget: deposit only money set aside for fun; deposit limits and breaks are in your account settings
Brands That Have Left Japan
Several big international brands no longer serve Japan. If you still search for them, here is where things stand — and if you have a balance, withdraw it before the deadlines.
| Brand | Status | Key dates | More |
|---|---|---|---|
| bet365 | Left the Japanese market | December 18, 2024; the Japanese help pages now return 404 (checked October 4, 2026) | Japanese page |
| 10bet Japan | Left the Japanese market | July 26, 2025 (as reported by Japanese media); no new sign-ups or deposits | Japanese page |
| William Hill | Closing for Japan | Deposits stop October 14, 2026; games and sports end October 28, 2026; online withdrawals until January 28, 2027 | Japanese page |
| BetGoat | Removed from our ranking | Its terms (4.2) list Japan as a restricted country (checked October 3, 2026) | — |
William Hill: what account holders should do
William Hill's help centre announced that it is leaving the Japanese market as a "business decision". Deposits stop on October 14, 2026; on October 28, 2026 games and sports betting end, unused bonuses are cancelled and accounts switch to log-in and withdrawal only; withdrawals through the cashier remain possible until January 28, 2027, after which you must contact customer support. If you have an account, finish KYC now and withdraw early (checked on William Hill's help centre on October 4, 2026).
Be careful with "new URLs", mirror sites or anyone offering to withdraw a balance for you for a fee — use only the official help centre. For alternatives with casino and sports in one account, see Yuugado, Mystino, CasiTabi and Stake above.
Are Offshore Online Casinos Safe to Play?
Gambling sites run by companies abroad can feel risky at first. In practice, a licensed casino has to meet every condition of its licence, and failing them can mean losing the licence and shutting down — so operators work hard to keep their games and bonus terms fair.
A trustworthy online casino stays fair for three reasons:
- It cannot operate without an official licence
- Independent testing labs check that its games are fair
- Players share reviews online, so bad behaviour becomes known quickly
In Europe, where online casinos are legal in many countries, regulation is strict and operators that look suspicious to the authorities or testing labs can be suspended fast. That pressure is what keeps the industry honest.
Many top international casinos now serve Japan, and as long as a casino meets the conditions above, it has no way to cheat. That is why every casino in our ranking shows an operator and licence we could check.
Responsible Gambling: Play for Fun and Stay in Control
Casino games always have a house edge, so over time the average player loses. Treat it as entertainment with a budget, never as a way to make money. With a phone in every pocket, online casinos are easier to reach than ever — which makes it all the more important to stay in control.
A winning streak makes it hard to stop ("I could win more"), and a losing one makes you want to chase ("one more and I'll win it back"). With real money involved, those feelings are stronger than in any other game. Every casino in our ranking offers tools to help — set them up before you play.
Tools that help you stay in control
Open your account settings ("My page" or "Responsible gaming") and you will find limits you can set yourself:
- Time limits
- Deposit limits
- Loss limits
- Self-exclusion (account closure)
| Tool | What it does | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit limit | Caps how much you can deposit per day, week or month | All casinos in the top 10 |
| Product exclusion | Blocks casino or sports only | Stake |
| Self-exclusion | Closes your account for months or permanently | All casinos in the top 10 |
A loss limit is useful for every player, not just those worried about their habits: decide in advance that you stop after losing, say, ¥10,000. Self-exclusion blocks you from logging in at all — if gambling has become a problem, use it, and ask family or friends to help you keep to it.
If gambling has become a problem
Warning signs include thinking about gambling all the time, feeling restless when you are not playing, chasing losses, and betting money meant for bills or borrowed money. If that sounds familiar, stop and talk to someone — the first step is admitting it, and trying to fix it alone rarely works.
- Join a self-help group such as Gamblers Anonymous
- Lean on members who have recovered
- If the urge comes back, call one of them before you play
- See a specialist for regular counselling
- Face the problems gambling was helping you avoid
In Japan, local mental health and welfare centres (精神保健福祉センター) and public health centres offer free, confidential consultations on gambling problems. Gamblers Anonymous Japan: www.gajapan.jp. Our responsible gambling page (in Japanese) lists the main contacts. Online casinos are for adults only: 18+, and 20+ at some sites such as Bons Casino.
Pros and Cons of Online Casinos in Japan
After checking each casino's official site and terms, here is what we like and what to watch out for.
Pros
- ✓ Thousands of slots and live tables, 24 hours a day, from your phone
- ✓ No-deposit bonuses through our links let you try for free (¥1,500 at Yuugado, ¥2,000 at Mystino and more)
- ✓ Game RTPs are published; blackjack and baccarat have a house edge of around 1%
- ✓ Yuugado and Mystino run in yen, so amounts are easy to follow
- ✓ Crypto allows small deposits and fast payouts (Bitcasino: ~2 minutes on average)
- ✓ Japanese support — and often English — plus a sportsbook in the same account
Cons
- ✕ Identity checks before your first withdrawal can take time
- ✕ Bonuses come with wagering, maximum bets and time limits
- ✕ At dollar-based casinos, the yen amount you receive moves with the exchange rate
- ✕ Some casinos charge for bank withdrawals (Vera&John and Eldoah: 5%)
- ✕ Residents of Japan may have to declare winnings and file a tax return
How to keep the downsides small
Verify your identity on the day you sign up, work out the wagering before you accept a bonus, choose Yuugado or Mystino if you want to think in yen, and use CasiTabi (no withdrawal fees), e-wallets or crypto to keep fees down. Those four habits avoid most of the problems above.
Licences and the Law in Japan

Japanese law has no licensing system for online casinos, so the sites players in Japan use are licensed abroad — mostly in Curaçao and Anjouan, sometimes Malta or Georgia. A licence shows that a regulator has vetted the operator: it sets rules on fair games, player funds and complaints, and gives you somewhere to escalate a dispute. How the law applies to you depends on where you are, so check the rules of your country of residence before you play. For the details — the Penal Code, public gambling, pachinko and the 2025 amendment — read our guide Is online gambling legal in Japan?.
| Licence | Number format | Casinos in this guide | How to verify |
|---|---|---|---|
| Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA) | OGL/2024/… | Vera&John, Yuugado, InterCasino, Casino Secret, Stake | Check the number on the CGA public register |
| Anjouan (Comoros) | ALSI-…-FI1 / F12 | CasiTabi, Mystino, Bitcasino, StealthBet | Search the number on the Anjouan register; company and domain must match |
| Georgia (Kutaisi FIZ) | Sub-licence No. | Konibet (N138/2) | Number and operator in footer and T&C 2.1 |
| Malta (MGA) | MGA/… | European-facing brands (e.g. William Hill, now leaving Japan) | MGA public register |
Land-Based Casinos in Japan
Japan does not have a casino you can walk into today. The Integrated Resort (IR) law allows a small number of casino resorts, and the first one is being built in Osaka, with opening planned for 2030. Until then, what you will find in Japanese cities are pachinko parlours, public racing (horse, boat, bicycle and motorbike), lotteries and "amusement casinos" where you play for fun without cash prizes. Our guide to casinos in Japan covers the Osaka IR, what foreign visitors can do now and the nearest casino destinations abroad.
Taxes on Casino Winnings in Japan (for Residents)
The National Tax Agency's guidance does not mention online casinos by name, but like prize money or horse-racing payouts, gambling winnings of residents of Japan are generally treated as occasional income (ichiji shotoku). In short (National Tax Agency Tax Answers, checked October 2026):
- Formula (No. 1490): total winnings − amounts spent directly to earn them − special deduction (up to ¥500,000); half of the result is added to your other income
- Filing (No. 1900): salaried employees must file a tax return if their income other than salary exceeds ¥200,000 a year
- Losses (No. 2250): losses cannot be offset against salary or other income
- Deadline: February 16 – March 15 of the following year; keep your casino and bank or wallet statements
Your situation depends on your residence and total income, so check with the tax office or a tax adviser. Our casino tax guide (in Japanese) has a worked example and the filing steps.

❓How do I withdraw to a Japanese bank account?
Choose a casino that supports bank transfer withdrawals — Vera&John, Yuugado, InterCasino, Konibet, Mystino or CasiTabi — complete KYC, then request a bank withdrawal. Expect 1–3 business days after the casino's review; Vera&John charges 5% on bank withdrawals.

More questions readers ask us about bonuses, payments and safety (information as of October 2026).
Q. What does 20x wagering mean?
A. You must bet 20 times the bonus before the bonus and its winnings can be withdrawn. For Yuugado's ¥1,500 no-deposit bonus that is ¥1,500 × 20 = ¥30,000 of bets. Slots usually count 100% and baccarat and other tables only 10%, so clear wagering on slots.
Q. What is the minimum deposit?
A. At the Vera&John group, bank transfer, e-wallets and cards start at $10 and crypto at $0.01. Bitcasino accepts USDT from 0.25 and CasinoMe from $20. To get a first-deposit bonus at Yuugado or Mystino, deposit at least ¥1,500.
Q. When do I need to verify my identity (KYC)?
A. At most casinos, before your first withdrawal. Konibet asks for documents before you deposit by bank transfer or card, and Eldoah before your first deposit or withdrawal. Have a photo ID and a selfie ready to speed things up.
Q. Which games give the best odds?
A. Blackjack (about 0.5% house edge with basic strategy) and the Banker bet in baccarat (about 1.06%). Slots have RTPs of roughly 94–97% depending on the game. Short-term results still depend heavily on luck.
Q. What is RTP, and is a higher RTP better?
A. RTP (return to player) is the share of all bets a game pays back over the long run: a 95% RTP slot returns ¥950,000 on average for every ¥1,000,000 wagered. It is an average — individual players end up above or below it — but between two similar games, the higher RTP costs you less over time.
Q. Are online casino games rigged?
A. Not at licensed casinos. Their games come from established providers, the RTP is published and the games are tested by independent labs, so the casino cannot change the outcome. That is why we only list casinos with a licence we can verify.
Q. Can I play with crypto only?
A. Yes. Bitcasino (13 coins), Stake (20 coins) and StealthBet (13 coins) are crypto-first casinos where you can deposit and withdraw entirely in crypto. Always send on the network shown on the deposit screen.
Q. Can I bet on sports too?
A. Yes. Yuugado, Mystino, CasiTabi, Bons Casino and Stake have a sportsbook in the same account as the casino. Yuugado adds a ¥1,500 free bet with no deposit when you sign up through our link.
Q. My withdrawal was rejected. What should I do?
A. Check the reason first. The most common are unfinished wagering, not having wagered your deposit 2x, incomplete KYC, and withdrawing with a different method from your deposit. Fix the cause and request again; if you are unsure, ask live chat.
Q. How can I spot a fake casino site?
A. Check that the footer names the operator and a specific licence number, and that clicking the licence seal opens the regulator's verification page. Opening the casino through the "Visit site" buttons on our pages takes you to the official sign-up page.
